To support the transition toward online instruction and increased telecommuting, we have provisioned Zoom Meeting accounts for all faculty, staff, and active students. Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between participants. It can be used from any Mac, computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone. The rest of the guide help get you started using Zoom.




Quick Tips for Using Zoom

  • If you are using an external camera and/or microphone be sure to plug them in before opening the Zoom application.  
  • Only one microphone and speaker system should be active per physical location. 
  • Be sure to mute yourself when you are not speaking. 
  • Use the Chat feature to ask questions without interrupting the speaker. 
  • You cannot record unless you are the meeting host, or the meeting host allows you permission to record. 
  • Student Zoom sessions will be limited 45 minutes unless the student request to be converted to Zoom Business account.
