Purpose
This document is created to instruct Faxpipe users on how to send outbound faxes.
Overview
Faxpipe is a user friendly service that allows the sending of faxes via Outlook to traditional fax machines. This service is an efficient solution that allows the transmission of the most common file types. of documents to fax:
- .doc and .docx (Microsoft Word Documents)
- .tif and .tiff (Tagged Image File)
- .txt and .text (Plain text)
- .prn and .ps (PostScript)
- .pdf (Adobe PDF)
- .html and .htm (HTML Document)
- .rtf (Rich Text Format)
- .jpg and .jpeg
- .xls and .xlsx (Microsoft Excel Document)
- .fdx (Winfax)
- .snp
- .odt - OpenOffice Document
- .wpd - Word Perfect Document
* File types are accepted but may not appear exactly as in the original document.
Sending Faxes
Open Microsoft Outlook and create a new email. The email should be constructed as follows:

| Subject | The subject line can be anything you would like it to be for your records. | Test Fax |
| Body | Recipient's fax numbers The first line should include the phone number you would like to send the fax. If you are sending multiple faxes, then the second, third and fourth numbers should be on the second, third, and fourth lines. | |
| Body | Cover Page Please note that Faxpipe does not automatically add cover pages to outbound faxes. The one of the following tags should be use to create a cover page:

| Attachment | Attached the documents you wish to send in the order that you would like them to be received. | Attachments base on the supported file time. |
