Description
Lynn University uses Zoom Phone as its telephone provider. The Zoom service comes with Zoom audio and video conferencing. The Zoom service allows Lynn employees to place and receive calls, send and text messages and listen to voicemails from their computer, smartphone, or tablet. A physical desk phone will remain the standard for all employees.
Students
Students are provided a Zoom basic conference license by default and must submit a request to IT Support Services for a full Zoom conference license.
Faculty and Staff
Authorized employees can use their Lynn email address and Lynn password to access the Zoom web port, softphone, or mobile app. The following services are available:
- 10-digit dialing, no prefix number needed
- Enter your default area code, and perform 7-digit dialing for all 561 area code calls
- HIPAA compliant eFax using Faxpipe
- Nationwide SMS texting
- Voicemail and voicemail transcription
- Call Dashboard for directory lookup by name or extension
- Report on calls handled by your extension
- Amazon Chime audio and video conferencing
Mobile App
You can download the Zoom app to your mobile device using the App Store or Google Play.
