Description
Lynn University is now using Vonage for Business cloud service uses Zoom Phone as its telephone provider. The Vonage Zoom service also comes with Amazon Chime Zoom audio and video conferencing. The Vonage Zoom service allows Lynn employees to place and receive calls, send and text messages and listen to voicemails from their computer, smartphone, or tablet. A physical desk phone will remain the standard for all employees.
Students
This service is not available to studentsStudents are provided a Zoom basic conference license by default and must submit a request to IT Support Services for a full Zoom conference license.
Faculty and Staff
Authorized employees can use their Lynn email address and Lynn password to access the Vonage web port, softphone, or mobile app. The following services are available:
- 10-digit dialing, no more three before the dialing out prefix number needed
- Enter your default area code, and perform 7-digit dialing for all 561 area code calls
- HIPAA compliant eFax in the Vonage App
- Nationwide SMS texting
- Voicemail and voicemail transcription
- Call Dashboard for directory lookup by name or extension
- Report on calls handled by your extension
- Amazon Chime audio and video conferencing
Mobile App
You can download the Vonage Zoom app to your mobile device using the App Store or Google Play.
