Number matching is a key security upgrade to traditional second factor notifications in Microsoft Authenticator.
In order to login to certain Lynn University services and applications, users will now be required to enter a 2-digit number, shown on the screen of the device when logging in, into the Microsoft Authenticator app on a mobile device.
- To authenticate, log in to the application or service on a computer or mobile device.
- Once the email address and password have been entered successfully, the authentication window will appear and an authentication "push" will be sent to the configured Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Type in the number and click "Yes" to complete the approval process.
