Academic LevelThe level of an educational objective that students can pursue at Lynn, such as:
  • Undergraduate, Graduate or EdD.
Academic UnitA Workday organization type that represents a unit of the institution, such as the:
  • College of Business and Management
  • Conservatory of Music
Superior Academic UnitThe overall structure of the institution academic units.  Subordinate academic units inherit role assignments and business process definitions from superior academic units.

Example: Lynn  University is the superior academic unit for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business and Management. Both schools inherit business process definitions from Lynn University but it is possible to customize business processes for each college.

Academic Unit HierarchyA group of academic units that enable roll-up reporting.
Academic Unit Sub typeThe sub type identifies whether an academic unit or academic unit hierarchy is a department, school, college, university, or another type.
