Use this step by step guide below to help set up Lockdown Browser for Canvas Classic within Canvas.


1. Navigate to your course settings

2. Chose the Navigation on the top tab

3. Scroll down to LockDown Browser and select the option button (three dots).

4. Select Enable


5. Within your designated course, select "LockDown Browser" from the course navigation.

6. If this is your first time accessing Respondus LockDown Browser, Select "Authorize" to continue.



7. Check "Don't show this page again" if you wish to skip this page for all future visits. 

8. Then "Continue" to LockDown Browser".

You will be redirected to the dashboard. 

HELPFUL HINT: Before enabling LockDown Browser on a quiz, you will need to have the quiz created in the Quizzes area of your course.


9. Locate the quiz under the Lockdown Browser Dashboard, and select the drop-down arrow and tap the settings button


10. Select Require Respondus Lockdown Browser for this exam

11. Under Proctoring, select require Respondus Monitor

12. Then Save and Close
